It is a proven fact that there is no second chance to make a good first impression. First impressions are often made within 7 seconds of meeting someone. The class addresses a variety of verbal and non-verbal factors that communicate volumes about who you are. Eye contact, handshake, posture, introductions, voice, diction, office protocol and telephone skills are all components of "Professional Presence".

We will assist men and women in building their professional wardrobe and offer advice on "business casual" attire. We will also cover accessories and personal grooming.

"Etiquette In The Information Age" - Communication Skills

Businesses have two entrances - the front door and the telephone. People calling your office for the first time evaluate your company based on your ATTITUDE, your VOICE, and your ATTENTION to their concerns/problems. This class will teach you how to make your voice "user-friendly". You will learn how to make your voice sound warm and engaging, and how to speak with authority using good grammar and diction. Email and Internet protocol are also addressed.

"Podium Readiness" - Public Speaking

We have all experienced a speaker who is boring or disorganized. This class will give you a formula for preparing and delivering engaging presentations. The sound of your voice, your posture, your facial expressions and your attire all play a role in focusing attention on you and your message. This is an invaluable class for those who speak often in public.

"Winning Over Lunch"

Skills at the dining table reinforce your skills at the conference table. This class reviews what factors go into a successful "power lunch" - from selecting the restaurant and seating arrangement to ordering, paying and tipping. It also deals with issues of political correctness we must all be sensitive to in today's business culture.

"Mastering Business Etiquette"

Making a good impression means knowing what you should do and sometimes, more importantly, what NOT to do. This class will give you the knowledge to act with confidence in every business situation. We address correct business protocol in these fact-changing times, including greetings and introductions, telephone skills, correspondence, business gift giving and receiving, and gender business interaction.
